About

My name is Ryan McEachen, (pronounced: Mc-Kek-in) and I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit Safety & Consulting. I would like to invite you to look around for products supporting your BLS field and classes and training events to sign up for. My career started by working as an EMT at various public and private events. It was there that I saw the value of every person young or senior to know first responder skills. That’s where my desire to begin a career path into being a first responder and Fire Prevention. I have worked in the Fire and Emergency Medical Service field for the past 15 years. In that time, I have served as a Volunteer, Reserve, and Professional Firefighter as well as an EMT and Advanced EMT. I have taught CPR, First Aid and C.E.R.T. programs. I have instructed as well as written and developed subject cadres at the fire academy level. I have performed as a skills instructor at community colleges as well as fire explorers and C.E.R.T. programs.

My previous career as a Regional Manager of chain restaurants prepared me for this path beautifully. 7 years doing progressive restaurant management, involved supervising and evaluating restaurants and their managers including staff, recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of staff members has all allowed me to find success. This is also where I was able to develop my construction interest into a professional advisor for the construction of brick and mortar buildings as well as remodels of existing structures to completion. These first few years were vast in scope of interpersonal skills, leadership skills and a solid understanding of corporate financial expenditures including real estate leases and contract comprehension.

I hold a B.A. Degree in English Literature from the University of California Riverside; A.S. Degree in Fire Technology from Santa Ana College; Certificate in Paramedic Program from Imperial Valley College; and a Certificate as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician from the National College of Technical Instruction. I hold an Instructors Credential to teach professional development classes through the California State Fire Marshalls office.
